HOTEL REVIEW: BurJuman Arjaan By Rotana, Dubai

BurJuman Arjaan Rotana offers one, three and four bedroom suitesWith such a variety of hotels in Dubai, it’s sometimes a challenge to separate the good from the bad. Luckily, the editors at AroundTheUAE.com know the market inside out and we’ve discovered a hidden gem in Bur Dubai that’s worth visiting!

Located on Trade Centre Road, the BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana caught our attention after being awarded the Certificate of Excellence 2013 by hotel review website TripAdvisor, where its current ranking has also reached an impressive 87%.

It was also named the best Luxury Boutique Hotel in the Middle East at the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2013.

As the name suggests, this luxurious four-star hotel is connected to the popular BurJuman shopping centre in the heart of Bur Dubai – great news if you’re looking for a little retail therapy! What’s more, BurJuman metro station is only a few steps away, so reaching other parts of town is also a breeze for guests.

In addition to a bedroom, the suites have their own loungesUpon arrival, we noticed the usual perks of staying in a top-end hotel, from valet parking and a private underground car park to a stylish lobby where the check-in process is completed by friendly multi-lingual staff. While such services are commonplace in Dubai, there’s an ace up BurJuman Arjaan’s sleeves, which helps the Rotana hotel to stick out from many of its contemporaries in the emirate.

Instead of offering traditional hotel rooms, guests are treated to a collection of 144 one-bedroom suites (available in three different varieties: Classic, Deluxe and Premium), together with 3 three-bedroom Townhouses and a stunning four-bedroom Penthouse. As a result, you’ll be spoiled with all the customary bonuses of staying in a premium hotel, but it feels like you’re spending time in a ‘home away from home’.

The four-star hotel is connected to the popular BurJuman shopping centre in the heart of Bur DubaiEach suite has been equipped with plush furnishings, in addition to modern amenities such as iPod players, high-speed internet connection, multi-channel satellite, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, in-room safe, daily local newspapers and an IDD telephone with voicemail.

The views from our suite were beautiful and we enjoyed watching the hustle and bustle of central Dubai, including the creek, during the day and night. There are countless restaurants and cafes within walking distance too, although the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant ‘The Gallery’ offers its own daily breakfast, lunch buffet and a la carte menu, with mouth-watering cuisine from Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

After filling our stomachs, we opted to have a lazy nap in our bed. However, our more active readers will be interested to know that BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana has a multi-purpose gym with the latest cardio and strength training equipment, towel service, refreshments and dedicated staff to assist you.

While we didn’t try the gym ourselves, we did have an afternoon dip in the outdoor temperature-controlled swimming pool, which also offers stunning views of the city skyline. It was the perfect end to our little staycation and left us wishing our visit could be extended by a night or two. That might not have been possible on this occasion, but it’s the perfect excuse to plan a return visit in the near future!
